Trading modes
Press M to cycle the trading mode. The current mode is shown in the status bar, and the guard’s settings in the Positions panel.
Manual
Section titled “Manual”Hotkeys and price modes, nothing automatic. The engine still sequences orders safely, reconciles with your broker and journals every fill.
Protection
Section titled “Protection”Everything in Manual, plus a protective stop on every entry:
- The stop is placed at your risk percentage below the entry (for example −10%).
- It is resized as fills arrive, and deferred while buys are still working, so it never trips a wash-trade rejection.
- Stop-skip guard: if price falls straight through a stop-limit, the guard exits at market instead of leaving you holding.
Scalping
Section titled “Scalping”Everything in Protection, plus a trailing stop: once the bid is up by the activation percentage (3% by default), the stop follows the highest bid at the trailing distance (5% by default) and never moves down. Moves are rate-limited so the broker isn’t flooded with replaces. Press T to toggle trailing.
Guard settings
Section titled “Guard settings”| Setting | Default | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Auto-stop | 10% | Initial stop distance below the average entry |
| Stop-limit offset | 2% | How far below the stop its limit price sits |
| Trail activation | 3% | How far the bid must rise above entry before trailing starts |
| Trail distance | 5% | How far below the highest bid the trailing stop sits |
Safe exits
Section titled “Safe exits”Closing with C cancels the stop first, waits for the broker to confirm, and only then sends the sell. There are no fixed delays: every step waits for the event it depends on.
Risk limits
Section titled “Risk limits”Pre-trade checks run in the engine before any order leaves: maximum contracts per position, a price-band check against the live quote, and a daily loss limit. When the daily limit is hit, new risk is blocked but you can always flatten.
